Yaskawa V1000 4X VFD. Washdown and Dust Tight!
Yaskawa V1000-4XThe V1000-4X is a version of the standard V1000 in an integral enclosure that meets NEMA type 4X/12 indoor use requirements, UL type 4X/12 standards, and the IP66 rating of IEC 60529. This enclosure provides the protection required in tough washdown or dust-tight environments, common in Food and Beverage Processing, Packaging, Metal Machining, Woodworking, Pumping, Refrigeration, and Printing. The enclosure is coated to protect against the harmful effects of sanitizing chemicals commonly used in food industries.

Demand continues to increase for compact drives with hassle-free maintenance. The V1000-4X is a powerful and reliable microdrive with Yaskawa quality.
  • The V1000-4X is available in 200-240V single-phase, 200-240V three-phase, and 380-480V three-phase, from 1/8 to 25 HP.
  • The V1000-4X includes standard MEMOBUS/Modbus and optional Profibus-DP, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus TCP/IP network communication.
  • Simple USB copy unit makes cloning drive programming or program backup a snap.
  • There is no need to worry with the V1000-4X, as it has a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of 28 years. This in turn ensures less downtime, lower maintenance costs, and an overall lower cost of ownership versus our competition.

Yaskawa's Inverter Drives eLearning CurriculumYaskawa eLearning
Technical Training Services (TTS) has created eLearning Modules (eLM) and eLearning Videos (eLV) to train our customers on our variable speed drive products. eLMs and eLVs are user-friendly, computer-based training lessons. These lessons are short and time effective, available on specific topics and can be performed anytime or anywhere there is a computer. Most eLMs and eLVs take from 5 to 25 minutes to complete. This is a perfect way to get targeted training in a short time period.

eLMs and eLVs do not replace factory training classes, but complement them. eLearning does not allow for some typical training practices such as demo unit hands-on exercises or student discussions and it is recommended that students with limited prior experience, requiring a broader understanding of our products, attend a traditional factory training class.
Lower Your Operating Costs with Variable Frequency Drives
Variable frequency drives (VFD) are reliable electronic devices that control three-phase electric motor speed. They are used in building automation, industrial, pumping, agricultural, irrigation, and water/wastewater applications to control the speed of fans and pumps in various systems. In certain applications, VFDs can offer substantial energy savings.  With utility rebates, payback period can be less than one year.

Drives do more than reduce energy costs:
  • Drives reduce fan noise and duct rumble, thus reducing tenant complaints.
  • Drives reduce amps during motor starting, lowering demand charges; another significant part of the electric bill.
  • Drives are less expensive to maintain than mechanical controls.
  • Drives inherent soft-starting reduces wear and tear on motors, sheaves, belts, couplings and other system components.
  • Drives provide accurate and repeatable control of HVAC settings, eliminating frequent readjustments.
